Toolkits for Hematological Care

AIL promotes and supports scientific research for the treatment of leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma, while providing concrete assistance to patients and families across Italy. To strengthen the clarity and accessibility of its educational materials, the association needed to update and expand its collection of informational booklets for hematology patients.
The goal was to create editorial materials that could guide patients and caregivers through complex, emotionally charged and technically detailed topics, maintaining scientific accuracy while ensuring an approachable and reassuring tone. Alongside the digital booklets, posters featuring a QR code would be produced and distributed in healthcare touchpoints nationwide to give immediate access to the online resources.

Our Approach
Our agency focused on a clear mission: transforming sensitive and often difficult medical information into content that is easy to understand, emotionally supportive, and visually organized. We worked across multiple dimensions:
- Clean and structured design
Each booklet was designed with clear visual hierarchy, generous spacing, and intuitive layout systems to help readers process information even during stressful or overwhelming moments. - Accessible and inclusive language
Texts were adapted to ensure clarity for non-technical readers while preserving essential medical accuracy. The aim was to turn information into a source of guidance—not confusion. - Custom illustrations aligned with AIL’s brand
We developed a bespoke illustration system that reflects AIL’s visual identity and supports a calm, reassuring emotional tone. These visuals help simplify complex concepts and foster a sense of human warmth.

Multichannel Production
The informational toolkits were produced in two complementary formats:
- Print version
Distributed nationwide across hematology departments, hospitals, local AIL chapters, and patient support touchpoints. Posters featuring QR codes bridge the gap between offline and digital communication, making it easy to access the full resources online. - Digital version
Published in the dedicated section of AIL’s website and fully integrated within the association’s broader digital ecosystem. The online format allows for updates, wider reach, and improved accessibility for patients and caregivers.

Impact
These toolkits now serve as a practical and emotional support system for patients and families navigating challenging diagnoses. Thanks to a balance of clarity, empathy, and visual coherence, the materials help:
- reduce the emotional burden linked to complex medical information;
- simplify understanding of treatment pathways;
- strengthen the relationship between AIL and the community it supports;
- expand nationwide access to reliable, patient-friendly educational resources.
